Short post! Had an exam in Biochemistry which I think I did well on (key word: think). I studied hard so we'll see. I worked two awesome events which were the Dean Advisory board as well as the Western Hills high school visit. These two events really embodied what it meant o be an ambassador for me. I was able to represent the student body in the Dean's Advisory board and talk about changing the "reputation" of UC Blue Ash as being a "back-up" or "lesser" than the UC Clifton Campus. We addressed how we can reach out to members of the community and educate them on the amazing opportunities with which students were presented here in UCBA. My fellow ambassador Prerna and another student spoke of their stories and research and the board members were in awe of such great students. Immediately after that, I was able to exchange the uncomfortable button up shirt with the comfy ambassador pullover and work with prospective HS students from Western Hills. It was probably the best combination because right after we talked about how awesome UC Blue Ash is, I was able to pass that passion and knowledge to High School students. The students were extremely receptive and asked many question which, like I always say, is a thumbs up for ambassadors. We love questions we get to answer cuz we sound smart lol. Needless to say this event really impacted me as an ambassador because both events exemplified servant leadership at its core. As of what I learned in school, I learned that when taking a test don't overthink what a difference of 10 means...smh. Anyway I think I did OK but we'll see cuz hey, its whatevs!
