Great things this week! I received my first ever Biochemistry exam and did pretty well! Higher than the class average so i'm happy about it. Hopefully with a curve its an A so, fingers crossed! The week went very well and I was fortunate to work an event early Tuesday as well as give a couple of tours this week. The first event I worked was a CYC board meeting during which I felt like I was in banqueting all over again. I helped set up and basically just stood there for most of the meeting. A classic example of how ambassadors can go from being the star of the show at times to being more of a behind the scene banquet server-like. I didn't mind at all, I told them that if they needed anything they can just let me know. Immediately the day after, I was asked to lead a group of prospective dental hygiene students around campus during which I was the star of the show and got to talk! As long as I get to talk it's a good day for me. So again, I was able to experience both sides of being an ambassador which I am perfectly okay with. I know what it means to be a servant leader and I'm glad I get to live it every week. As far as what I learned this week, I learned that procrastinating on the MCAT is not going to make life any easier for me in the couple following months and that I should really start studying harder. As the date gets closer to when I take the test and apply for med school, I get more overwhelmed. Its okay, I just have to say what i always say its gonna be okay so relax becasue hey, it's whatevs!
