Was another rough week, but at least I had events! An event that stuck out to me is the Clark Montessori High School visit. The kids were not very focused on the tour until I mentioned that I was in the army and immediately got their attention. Feeding off of this, I continued to try and tie my military life to be being a student at this amazing university we call University of Cincinnati Blue Ash. They began to listen and some even showed interest in joining. This for me epitomizes being an ambassador. I was able to deviate very largely from the regular tour script and get their attention in another way. I personally love tours, and every single tour that I try to do, I make it an emphasis to connect with the group in the best way possible. Whether that means sticking to the script or deviating from it. This was my servant leadership experience. As far as what I learned in class, I learned that scurvy was a disease that is caused due to vitamin c deficiency, which today may seem like an easy fix, but wasn't very much so in the old days. Things in my personal life has still been getting me down, but the support I get from my fellow ambassadors as well as my friends and family is what's making me stronger. In the end of the day it is what it is and you gotta keep moving forward and say, "hey, its watevs"!.
