This week I was able to work two intramural sport sign up events as well as another amazing event that Molly set up, which was the Coffee Shop for Mental Awareness event. It was interesting to see so many students interested in participating in intramural sports such as soccer or volleyball. Although it's in the making, intramural sports will be a great way for students to get involved through the university. This another great thing in the making due to Student Life's constant goal of getting students to "break the mold" of coming to campus and leaving without any student involvement. This causes them to miss opportunities of meeting other people in order to begin networking. As for the Coffee Shop, it was a great opportunity for students (including myself) to share their talents with people in the university. I was able to help multiple perform by playing the guitar for them including our very own ambassador Mackenzie Cornell. That night was Kenzie's very first night performing for a crown and she very much enjoyed it. This is a great example of servant leadership as I was able to serve the student body to be able to share their talents. I also performed my original songs, which is something I have never done in front of a crowd. I've come to realize that this university is constantly serving its students and enabling them to reach their highest potential, and not just in the academic sense but holistically as people.
